Common Figure Types
- Scale figures
- Prize figures
- Nendoroids
- Action figures
Scale Figures
Scale figures are designed to represent a character at a specific scale compared with their fictional or real-world size. Common scales include 1/7 and 1/8.
Many figures are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Prize Figures
Prize figures are generally produced at a lower price point and are commonly distributed as prizes through Japanese amusement arcades.
Nendoroids and Action Figures
Nendoroids are stylized character figures that often include interchangeable expressions and accessories. Action figures typically have articulated joints that allow different poses.
